Hollup Battle Maiden Airlines with Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries
The Best Moments

Ride of the Valkyries, WWV 86B

Wagner presenting best moments of his Ride of the Valkyries
Yo yo yo, it's me, Wagner, and I'm hookin' ya up with the best moments of Ride of the Valkyries, fam, straight fire, no cap! Ya gonna hear the Valkyries' battle-cry blast over the main tune, which I first scribbled down on 23 July 1851, and bruh, that wild gallop is loud enough to rattle your fridge, deadass! My fellow composers and I are also trainin' ya on this site to recognize our pieces the second they hit, so  hit the Trainer  and flex on your friends, lowkey!

Curtain Up, Snacks Down

Yo yo yo, hold up, fam, I'm kickin' off Act 3 right here, the LAST act, not the start of the whole opera, so don't come at me with that, deadass! The accompaniment stacks up layer on layer like a sketchy gas-station burrito, bruh, and then BOOM, the curtain flies up on a mountain peak, no cap, fr fr!

Sisters Showin' Up Fashionably Late

Ayo, I've got four of Brünnhilde's eight Valkyrie sisters just vibin' on that peak, and then the other four roll up like it's a group-chat meetup, lowkey hilarious, my guy! The orchestra hogs the big main tune while the Valkyries belt their battle-cry on top, and apart from the Rhinemaidens' song in Das Rheingold, that's the only group-singin' moment in the first three Ring operas, so savor it, homie, savor it!

Wagner Gets Salty, Then Gets Over It

Listen up, fam, I swore up and down against this thing gettin' played solo, and by January 1871 I'd slammed the door and called it "an utter indiscretion", straight shade, no filter, whoa! Then 1876 rolled around with the whole Ring up at Bayreuth, I chilled right out, and on 12 May 1877 I conducted it in London and ran it back as an encore, so yeah, that ban got ghosted, period, mic drop!

Yo, hold up, fam, we just rode through the wildest mountain-peak mayhem, and my heart's still thumpin' like a drum solo in a blender! Think about it: I first forbade this whole Ride from bein' played on its own, called it an utter indiscretion, and then I turned around and conducted it in London on 12 May 1877, encore and all, straight-up plot twist, bruh! Talk about a glow-up, my dude, 'cause that battle-cry went from 'nobody touch it' to 'run it back again, maestro!' So, real talk, did ya enjoy learnin' about the best moments of Ride of the Valkyries, or did it just blow your whole mind to confetti? Because we've barely scratched the surface here, homie, and there's a whole stash of other sides of this beast waitin' for ya, like what went down behind the curtain, how it blew up in movies, and way more! Ain't nothin' stoppin' ya now, so smash those links below, dive on in, and keep the valkyrie party poppin', ya feel me, fr fr!
